The Location
We are under an hour from Malpensa -Milan Airport
Under an hour from Simplon Pass/ Tunnel
15 minutes from Lago Maggiore, Lago Mergozzo and Lago Orta, Verbania, Intra and Stresa, you can swim in a different lake every day.
5 minutes down the mountain are five bars, three restaurants and an excellent supermarket, bank, vet, tyre shop, ironmongers, post office, boulangerie and for some strange reason at least six barbers and hairdressers
All is close enough to be convenient but far enough to be peaceful and don’t forget the lovely restaurant at the bottom of your garden!
Activities
Relax at Chalet Boden surrounded by mountains and woodland. Barbecue on your terrace. Mountain walks up or down, walk in the valley or along the lakesides, cycling of every ability. Swim in one or all of the many lakes in the area ( crystal clean water) and explore the national parks. Visit the grand and spectacular gardens and houses
Ferry you and your car across Lake Maggiore to visit Lake Lugano and lunch beside the lake on your way to Lake Como, home for supper. Zip wire down a mountain. Evening promenade along the various esplanades. Enjoy the fabulous local foods and wines on offer and explore the delights of Verbania, Intra and Stresa
Train around the top of the lake from Domodossola to Locarno and ferry back. Discover yet another lovely unfound restaurant with Italian delights you cant wait to share, See below for all the lovely things you can do while staying at Chalet Boden.
Promenade along the shores at Stresa, Baveno, Verbania and Intra and further. and take in the views.
Also take the train from Stresa to Domodossola, mountain train onwards Lucarno and lake ferry back to Stressa, (check your timing).Passport Required

Lake Orta, Southern end of the lake can be tricky to park but well worth a stroll along at waters edge between boat houses and grand old villa’s, like a faded film set, Café’s and restaurants overlooking San Giulio, watch the world go by
